There’s a trope called “save the cat” which story tellers use to make audiences root for a character. Have them preform a heroic act. In Obsession they did the literal inversion of this trope. They told you to not root for him from the start.
Not only did Obsession release a week before Star Wars, but it's showing in 1700 less screens and it's STILL beating it.
