For more than two months, I have been working on a truly horrific story about one of the gravest war crimes committed by the United States since Vietnam: The bombing of the Shajareh Tayyebeh school in Minab, Iran. It was one of the first targets struck in the opening hours of the war on February 28, 2026.
At least 156 people were killed in the U.S. cruise missile strikes—120 of them were children and 26 were teachers. We spoke to survivors, first responders, parents, doctors, teachers, psychologists, and other witnesses. Some of them had never before shared their experiences of that day.
It would be impossible to do justice to what happened in Minab that day with words alone. In more than 25 years in journalism and reporting on war, I do not believe I have reported on a more heinous single crime.

⚡️Press TV’s powerful AI-generated video has gone viral across social media within hours, racking up millions of views.
Here’s another look at the emotional video, which offers a different perspective on the walkout by delegations during Netanyahu’s UNGA speech.
🤔 Did Iran Actually Strike A US Carrier?
In early September, General Mohsen Rezaei claimed that Iran had fired anti-ship missiles at US ships in the Arabian Sea, and suggested both ships had been damaged and promptly withdrew.
Although it remains unconfirmed, it has been widely rumored that the ships struck were the USS George Washington (CVN-73) and a US destroyer.
CENTCOM adamantly denied these claims.
Meanwhile, in a rare if not unprecedented development in this war, no US Navy warships have been spotted on commercial satellite images anywhere near the Gulf of Oman in recent weeks.
The entire fleet appears to have withdrawn to a safer distance.
Now we learn the Pentagon has quietly added 37 sailors and Marines to its ever-expanding list of Iran war casualties.
I will permit the reader to connect the dots.
Wow!
It appears an even greater number of delegations walked out if the UN General Assembly this year when Netanyahu's started talking.
77 delegations walked out, roughly 40% of the entire UN!!
They account for right 30% of the world's population.
Netanyahu called then "moral cowards."
His words matter little, however, given the fact that Netanyahu is a wanted war criminal awaiting trial at the ICC...
To the Canadian Prime Minister who, instead of condemning U.S. blatant aggression and warmongering, chose to appease Washington by reframing a threat to "annihilate" Iran as merely "speaking the language of war":
Mark Carney must understand that time is too ruthless to let the shelter of illusion & hypocrisy endure forever. A day will surely dawn when those who sought refuge in the long shadow of American bullying—believing that mimicking the language of the mighty could shield them from the claws of power—will stand bare before the truth. They will learn, too late, that averting their eyes from reality and bartering away their dignity and self-respect buys no salvation. It only strips them naked, leaving them utterly defenseless before the very force that demands their submission.
Perhaps, in that hour of reckoning, they will look upon Iran and finally comprehend. They will see that the nation they once conspired with empires to crush was the solitary guardian of a sacred flame. By standing unyielding against coercion, it kept a torch burning in the dark—a torch that, if allowed to die, would leave humanity with nothing but the cold embrace of naked force, burying the civilized and humane altars of reason beneath the brutal logic of might.
US threatened to annihilate 93 million Iranians - children, moms, dads, grammas, thousands of Canadian Iranians who live in Iran - and Canada is ok with it according to Carney. So let's not pretend we respect intl law or humanity at this point.
The Iranians are too dignified, intelligent + respectful for the Governing Class of the US to comprehend. Western Powers have been telling the world forever that they are the Civilised ones and the rest are Barbarians. I'm afraid they have it backwards...
