I want to share a news that got me excited for the future of NFTs !
On Monday, national French post @GroupeLaPoste successfully launched a NFT STAMP collection on the @tezos blockchain. It's not just a timid attempt at catching up a trend, it's a dedicated website ready to launch many stamp collections over time.
The target isn't our small NFT circles, but instead regular philatelists, as the stamps are official, physical ones. The NFT that comes with a stamp is a digital counterpart, that displays the same artwork as the physical stamp.
The website, that I've tested, it crystal clear and seamless. There's absolutely zero knowledge to have about blockchain and no single mention of cryptocurrency. It just works. ( it seems they just create a new #tezos wallet for you and the NFTs will be minted there as FA2 standard ).
For me it was the shocking news that I had been waiting for ( thanks Luke500 for the info on zancan Discord 🌿)

It's hard to understate how much an institution the French post is. It's a nationalized company that exists since 1477, just think about that. It is deeply rooted in the society and holds genuine social values. They are also a bank and provide all sort of daily services to our people.
To see that they adopted the blockchain technology for what it's best at, makes A LOT of sense to me. Stamps are historical collectibles, they hold monetary value and have utility. They display art, make it accessible to all levels of society.
Thank you @GroupeLaPoste for trusting the Tezos blockchain for it fundamental core values. For using the term NFT without hindrance because you understood those good values and thought that they aligned with yours.
