In 1948 over 750,000 Palestinians were forcibly removed from their land because the Zionist Organization thought they had the right to take this land based on a 2,000 years old claim. Today the world is being forced to face the crime and consequences. Hence the apathy.
Some say Jews have historic claims on the land of Palestine. However, before the Jews, the land was already inhabited by Semitic people, like the Phoenicians (3000 BCE), Egyptians, Hittites and Assyrians. So any claim is relative and unfounded. Any forced relocation is a crime.
I should report on earthquakes, which can be life threatening, and I will continue to do so.
But right now, according to latest reports, 8,000 Palestinians have been killed and 2,000 are missing. How many of them women and children?
How long before the world says it's enough?
