States need to fund their universities again instead of preying on student loan debt, too. And single payer healthcare to reduce t burden.

Some tenured faculty have indeed stood beside their underpaid colleagues, as well as TAs, RAs, and underpaid service workers. The overpaid presidents, VPs, coaches, consultants… not so much!

The professors aren’t even being paid enough to pay off their own student loan debt (and fun fact: adjuncts often don’t qualify for PSLF). Professors and students alike are increasingly relying on gig work, even food banks.

There’s also overspending on admin/coach salaries. Student loan debt subsidizes professional sports AND health ins. industry.
