I remember my high school’s teacher strike fondly. It lasted 21 days, and because nobody was telling us anything or talking to us, we spent that time putting together an unauthorized issue of the school paper that we handed out when kids came back.

I walked past a float while hauling out my crabbing gear a few months ago, a woman walking five steps behind me found it. I've thought about it every day since.

Eh, this is a weird way to frame the data. Yellowstone says it's not comparing visitor counts to '20 and '21 because of COVID, essentially ignoring the record crowds in July 2021. The news release also says '22 doesn't count (floods), but here they note the increase.
(News Release) Yellowstone National Park hosted 969,692 recreation visits in July 2023. This is a 63% increase from July 2022 (596,562 recreational visits) and a 4% increase from July 2019* (936,062 recreation visits). Learn more: https://t.co/5iIbJvq7Sp
