The San Francisco Giants continue to look like one of the most directionless organizations in professional sports and this latest Bryce Eldridge situation is another perfect example.
Bryce Eldridge has now been on the Major League roster for six games and has only started four of them, already sitting twice.
Think about how ridiculous that is.
Last night Eldridge hit his first Major League home run and nearly hit another one to the left field warning track. He looked confident. He looked dangerous. He looked like exactly what this organization desperately needs right now which is young talent with upside and energy.
So naturally the Giants put him right back on the bench today.
Nothing this organization does makes sense anymore.
The Giants have the worst record in baseball. The offense has been lifeless for weeks. This is not a contending team protecting a veteran lineup during a pennant race. This is a last place team continuing to prioritize veterans while the future sits and watches.
What exactly is the purpose of calling up your number one prospect if you are not going to let him play consistently?
Bryce Eldridge needs Major League at bats. He needs experience. He needs reps against big league pitching. Most importantly the Giants need to evaluate him because the future of this franchise should revolve around young players like him not around a failed veteran core that has helped drive this team into the ground.
Yet the Giants continue giving everyday opportunities to players who have been part of one of the worst teams in baseball while the player fans actually want to watch sits in the dugout.
This organization feels completely lost right now.
They refuse to commit to a real rebuild yet they are nowhere close to competing. They continue trying to straddle both worlds and this is exactly how franchises stay mediocre for years.
If the season is already collapsing then Bryce Eldridge should be playing every single day. Period.
You do not develop franchise cornerstones sitting on the bench after hitting home runs.
Ryan Walker blew 7 saves last season. The Giants missed the playoffs by 2 games. Do the math.
Buster Posey looked at that and said, nah, we'll let him do it again.
He has blown 3 save opportunities in 6 opportunities.
Enough is enough. What does this organization need to see?
I hate to sound like a broken record but in all seriousness.. what value does Patrick Bailey bring to the @SFGiants? 5 for 12 on ABS challenges, 1 for 12 on steal attempts with one error. 6 singles on the year in 44 AB’s with 1 RBI and 0 XBH, .158 BA with an WRC+ under 10… etc..
The Giants bullpen the last 4 games:
13.1 IP
13 ER
20 H
10 BB
This time last year the bullpen was a major strength and now it’s horrible. This is what happens when you don’t address this area during the offseason
I’m in Cuba.
What I’m witnessing is American imperialism murdering the Cuban people.
We are nothing but rich terrorists and soulless murderers.
Viva Cuba.

🚨BREAKING: A clip of Donald Trump from 2024 is going mega viral: “I can tell you you’re not going to have a war with Iran with me as president.”
Truly curious if any MAGA voters are willing to admit they were played.
