TAYLOR BIGBY IS A PORTLAND FIRE‼️
WOW, so happy for Taylor who worked so hard and is now the third @tcuwbb player to hear her name called in tonight’s #WNBA draft. She will have a great shot to earn a spot on the roster with one of the league’s incoming expansion teams.
Donovyn Hunter just announced that she will be entering the transfer portal.
As a Frog, I’m so bummed. But I’ve been a massive Dono fan since she arrived in FW and will remain one whenever she lands next. Her unselfishness and grit were the secret sauce of this team.

How did they reach the Sweet 16? We’ll start with No. 3 seed TCU, who advanced to the Sweet 16 for the second consecutive season, thanks in large part to Clara Silva and Taylor Bigby.
The duo entered the tournament averaging just (16.3) points combined, but in the second round, they nearly doubled that, scoring 31 points in a 3-point overtime win against No. 6 Washington. Those 31 points helped offset struggles from double-figure scorers Donovan Hunter and Marta Suarez, who combined for just 11 points on 5-for-15 shooting.
Silva has gotten off to a good start in the tournament, averaging (14.5) points, (9.5) rebounds, and (3.0) blocks through the first two games, including a double-double in the opening round—her first since January 17.
Meanwhile, Bigby is averaging (21.0) points and, prior to the Washington game, had recorded her first 20-point performance since December 2022, when she went for a career-high 27 points in the first round. She has scored in double figures in each of TCU’s last five wins, after posting just one double-figure game in the previous eight contests.
Now, Silva, Bigby, and the Horned Frogs are headed to Sacramento to face Virginia in the Sweet 16 later this week, with a spot in the Elite Eight on the line. 🪄
What Taylor Bigby did to Avery Howell the final 25 minutes of this game is as big a reason as any that TCU pulled off the comeback win.
An all-timer of a defensive performance.
Taylor Bigby is becoming a TCU legend.
From in and out of the starting lineup and could have left to become a star at majority of schools, she stayed and is balling out in March.
"It's the best feeling in the world. I love to pass the ball, I'd much rather pass than score."
