Coach Marsh on Skylar Diggins moving to the bench:
"It's a coach's decision. It's my decision, and the conversations that me and Skylar had will stay between us.
She understands how effective she can still be and how big of a piece that she is for us on this team". #Skytown
An anonymous NBA General Manager says it’s “baffling” that Jaylen Brown was traded for less than Walker Kessler, per @BannedMacMahon

Brad Stevens defends himself as @Dan_Shaughnessy asks if the Jaylen Brown trade makes the team better.
"I don't think the team improves or not improves necessarily based on one player...we're doing other things too."

Skylar Diggins confirms she's being moved to the bench:
"I've been putting my body on the line all year for this team. I've done everything that's been asked of me. I've been great professionally. That's the decision that's made, and I gotta live with that."

Brad Stevens says that the Celtics had two main goals in trading Jaylen Brown: adding an established player who can contribute right now next to Jayson Tatum and picks that could be utilized to ensure future success:
"We weren't going to do anything unless we felt like it was the right return... It was a hard decision, one that came with very little sleep.
"We like Paul (George). Paul is a very good player... He is excited to come to Boston and actually already came in this weekend. We are excited to get a chance to work with him.
"The draft assets in this whole deal, the way we looked at it was that they are two potential premium assets... Both offer potential, who knows, big swings at the apple. The second-round picks are sweeteners that you can use in deals to do things."
Celtics president Brad Stevens on whether analytics played a part in trading Jaylen Brown:
"Every ounce of information that you have and you put it all together. Right? For me, Mike [Zarren] and his staff might get mad at me, they do every day - I would say that was a small piece of information."

Bill Chisholm on the Celtics losing stars under his tenure:
“It’s not about the money at all…This was, again, try to put together the right set of players and assets to win now, to win next year, the following year, and the year after that.”
“I know we have to prove it, and we will.”

Brad Stevens addresses how the Celtics still have a lot of their salary cap occupied after trading Jaylen Brown:
“Paul’s contract is shorter. He’ll have his choice with this player option next year.”
“As a kid, I don't want to hear about picks and optionality…unfortunately, in my position that matters.”
