Albertans have a lot of unanswered questions about how many lavish gifts Danielle Smith and her staff accepted from the company that scored $80 million of Albertans’ money in the Turkish Tylenol fiasco.

The Premier has consistently refused to say who accepted tickets, who paid for them, and whether there was travel involved. 

Today, the Finance Minister says he accepted two NHL playoff tickets from MHCare, but refuses to say which other ministers, MLAs or senior staff were present.

Why?

If this is all above board, then the government would disclose it freely. If they have followed their own rules, then there should be no issue with publishing a list of all ministers and staff who accepted these gifts. The finance minister himself couldn’t marshal a reason to not disclose these names.

This isn’t about hockey games. It’s about shady dealings, lying, and hiding information. 

Refusing to do this destroys public trust. I’m calling on Danielle Smith to come clean with Albertans.
