“More and more people are in individual talk therapy, learning a new vocabulary to apply to their lives.”
—Olga Khazan, The Atlantic
This is exactly what should NOT happen in psychotherapy. If a patient comes out of therapy with a slew of new vocabulary words or speaking in “therapy speak,” something has gone terribly wrong.
Skilled therapists sound like people, not like therapists. People who get good therapy come out of it sounding more like themselves, not more like someone else.
I see this piece by an Aussie TV channel about cancer increases in the young getting shared with the tone "it's the vaccines"
I don't see how one can construct even a half-backed suspicion at this stage given
-past trends
-that the data is only up to 2021
-2020 missed diagnoses
Survivorship bias is a cognitive shortcut that occurs when a successful subgroup is mistaken as the entire group, due to the invisibility of the failure subgroup.
There has been NO measurable rise of cancer outside of trend since 2020 worldwide.
This includes under 50! In some countries like Sweden we saw cancer DROP in youngest ages.
U.S. life expectancy reached 79.0 years in 2024, a record high per CDC's final National Vital Statistics System data released January 2026. https://t.co/jLrTlukcrE
Fewer deaths from COVID-19, along with drops in heart disease, cancer and drug overdoses, helped drive the increase.
We have US cancer incidence data through Q2 2025 (see last image) and there's NO rise.

Turbo cancer (from COVID or vaccines) is fake!
Many college professors are discovering that students learn less when they have laptops open. Many of us are banning their use in class.
Putting computers and tablets on students desks in K-12 may turn out to be among the costliest mistakes in the history of education

@Jikkyleaks thinks the measles vaccine doesn't work & doesn't reduce side effects from a measles infection.
He even thinks the vaccine CAUSES measles!
He's wrong on every claim, w/o exception.
Why?
I'm going to tell you. (It will likely not shake your world)

Skilled psychotherapists recognize other skilled psychotherapists.
They don’t act like cheerleaders, teachers, coaches, influencers, or gurus.
They don’t talk in therapy-speak clichés. They don’t speak in affected “therapist voices,” or make mawkish displays of performative empathy.
They don’t claim to have the answers for strangers they’ve never met, and they couldn’t care less about the newest trend or fashionable acronym.
They know that much of what’s called “therapy” is not legitimate psychotherapy at all. And they can spot the difference between performative signaling and actual depth in a nanosecond.
Don’t wear yourself out on these anti-vaccine crusaders. Their playbook is now antique.
Question everyone — except themselves.
Demand your credentials — never present their own.
Call every dataset corrupt — yet trust a Substack with a logo.
Insist on randomized trials — then dismiss the results as bought.
If you sound educated, they call you AI. Which is not the insult they imagine. Clarity, structure, citations — these are now suspicious traits.
They do not engage to refine truth. They engage to exhaust it.
Another paper.
Another endpoint.
Another mechanistic theory.
Another insinuation.
The objective is not resolution. It is perpetual turbulence — to convince bystanders that if the argument never ends, the science must be unsettled.
They cherry-pick foundations that function as ideological printing presses. They recirculate the same authors in a closed loop. They treat repetition as replication.
And when the denominators are shown — when the mortality curves, hospitalization rates, and surveillance data are laid bare — they pivot to motive.
Because numbers are stubborn things.
So do not tire. The audience that matters is not the loud account in your replies. It is the quiet reader scrolling past.
Relentlessness is not rigor.
Suspicion is not scholarship.
And volume is not evidence.
Keep posting the data. You do not need to engage them, but you can refute them.
@Friesein Here are the actual 25-29 mortality rates in Sweden.
The account you're sharing spreads misleading charts.
Stick to facts.

Mental health misinformation is rampant on social media.
In our study, 33% of popular mental health videos on TikTok that offered advice and information were misleading.
These videos were watched over 1 billion times.

Telling kids to sit still doesn’t build discipline. It stifles imagination.
Evidence: When students are given freedom to fidget and wiggle in their seats, they pay just as much attention—and generate more creative ideas.
Physical activity unlocks mental agility.
