@theRealZenz No fan of the piece, but just FYI people with mortgages typically have their taxes paid into an escrow account in monthly installments, and the mortgage servicer pays on their behalf every year. So, it's also spread out.

@JoAnnaScience If you don't need the water for anything (pets, plants), turn it off at the main shutoff. If just pets, leave jugs of water. Some real horror stories of minor leaks that spring in washers/fridge ice dispensers and the massive costs. Also, turn down/off water heater.

@JalbyMD The first bit, yeah. Then lent it out to other parking nerds. It’s a great resource but the examples became repetitive. Lots of ways to say that LA is bad at city planning and that parking lots are stupid. But I love having the LA/SF opera hall example in my back pocket now!
