@ScotRail a bit of antisocial behaviour at Markinch station, group of teens shouting at passengers and chucking objects that look like cans across from the lift on platform 1 to platform 2
In case you missed it... 👀 🎥
We welcomed Cabinet Secretary for Transport @FionaHyslop MSP to see the work taking place between Haymarket-Dalmeny- part of our £342m project to electrify Fife and the Borders.

@NetworkRailSCOT@FionaHyslop@ScotRail@transcotland If you know, when is it likely that the overhead wires will be put up between Saughton Junction and Dalmeny Junction? Hoping the line will be up and running by the May 2026 timetable change.
@NetworkRailSCOT@transcotland When will the wires start to be put up on the Leven line? Most of the poles are up already, and very much looking forward to it. 😃
📢 We're asking passengers who use the railway between Edinburgh and Fife to plan ahead for January 17-25, when essential engineering work will take place.
It's all part of our plan to electrify Fife's railway to improve your journeys. ⚡

Thank you for bearing with us while we safely removed this unusual trespasser from the tracks at Glasgow Central yesterday. 🦢
Wildlife on the railway can cause serious disruption to rail services. We appreciate your patience while we got trains running again.

Rail Electrification between (Kirkcaldy) and Thornton Jn has begun. Form 11/10/25, Network Rail and SP Energy will be carrying out works every Saturday, until 06/12/25, where the work schedule will increase to Saturday to Thursday. Completion expected by 23/12/26. Great news!
@chrismac1888 Is this definitely for electrification? Don't want to get my hopes up about something that has already taken THIS LONG to get THIS FAR...
@D7M1888@chrismac1888 Don't think anything will happen with the bridge for the foreseeable future due to its heritage status and engineering difficulties
