I was one of the fortunate recipients of the first Clone Awards and I'm really glad that @RTFKT took this step to recognise the contributors.

There are three thoughts I'd like to share:
– It wasn't my effort alone
– In true permissionless fashion, anyone can contribute if they'd like to
– There are many other efforts that go unnoticed, so do give your fellow creators and innovators the flowers they so deserve whenever you can

Teamwork
I'm very lucky to have met @0xPlasticity @rtsnRegis @WideEyeKarI @nutcaseopinions @sunnysidetweets @Moirix_Gatzook who have also helped with the CNY event. It's a lot of fun to work tgt and create smth fun outside of our regular day-to-day lives.

The best part of IRL events is seeing and meeting others and inspiring more people to join us, whether it's having more hands to work on a bigger event or getting others in the community excited to turn up for upcoming events.

Take Action
Being an introverted collector is fine, showing up for IRL events is fun, but doing something with the community adds meaning to NFT collecting. It could be co-creating art, kickstarting an animation series, hosting spaces, or coordinating meet-ups. Try it!

Don't get me wrong, it's fine if you see NFTs as a speculative/investing vehicle and it's all just P&L. You can do that just as you do with crypto, equities etc but there's another layer to NFTs that involves social participation, and anyone can get involved, in their desired levels of commitment.

Support Others
The NFT space is nascent and everyone's trying to make things work in their own ways. What's the best way to do a drop? Should it be exclusive or accessible? No one knows for sure. IMO we're all trying our best, and many are putting in the work even when no one is watching.

Yes, an official award is great but appreciation can also come in many forms e.g. a note of appreciation, a collector paying for a commissioned work, a share/RT etc. The Clones are amazing because of the mutual support we have for each other, so keep spreading that positivity, to the broader NFT community in fact.

Now that we're done w #CloneWorldTourSG, I guess it's back to doing some Artifact3 episodes w @m4rtr3d and helping other local communities with their events. Can't wait to see where the next #CloneWorldTour stop will be 🥰
