“I’ve been donating for years now. I’ve been in healthcare for 35 years; I was a nurse and started my career in the trauma center. So, I know how important blood is to people who need it.”
It's urgent: Patient care could be impacted in the weeks ahead due to a steep drop in scheduled blood donations. You can help. Please book an appointment ASAP: https://t.co/qROhRwe7YG
@PhoenixPolice you are unbelievably great at your job! Thank you for safely getting us to and from hotel, arena, mall and convention center! You’re so appreciated!
Geno Auriemma came far closer to a Woody Hayes moment Friday night than anyone should be comfortable with.
It was a warning sign. And hopefully there are people in his life who will tell him the truth.

If Geno Auriemma doesn’t deliver a full-throated apology to Dawn Staley for his sore loser antics & a recantation of his false claim and excuse that Staley did not shake his hand pregame, some of UConn’s future recruits need to rethink joining his program & take their talents elsewhere. Auriemma’s postgame behavior from the court to the mic was that self-illuminating, but not beyond self-reflection.
In the meantime, Auriemma’s antics are triggering for anyone who has experienced other individuals starting issues at work and claiming innocence in their victim facade afterwards, while getting others to focus on the reaction. That manipulation is reprehensible & deserves to be called out.
Sportsmanship is about handling losing and someone else being better than you with grace, & not trying to warp and wrap a salty core with lies, projection & blame-shifting.
Dawn Staley, once again, is moving on to the Championship round. Deal with it like others did when they celebrated Auriemma’s well-earned victories too.
What a win for South Carolina tonight 👏
◽️ Snapped UConn's 54-game win streak
◽️ Only team to hold UConn to under 50 PTS
◽️ Only team with a double-digit lead vs. UConn
◽️ Committed just 8 fouls
◽️ Held Sarah Strong & Azzi Fudd to a combined 7/31 shooting
South Carolina is the first team ever to beat an undefeated team in the Final Four (semis or championship, men's or women's) while holding them to under 50 points.
Today’s ribbon-cutting has been a long time in the making. We are grateful to the state and federal leaders who made the @USCBrainHealth Center possible. We look forward to supporting SC patients and caregivers, and making new discoveries here for decades to come.
On this day (Feb 28) in 1983, U2 released War — featuring “New Year’s Day.” It became the band’s first UK No.1 album, even knocking Thriller off the top spot.
When I posted about Mayer’s eloquence in the viral tweet, this is what I meant. When John is asked to meet the occasion he delivers. I have already watched three times and there will be more.

Master Trooper LaBounty, a 40-year law enforcement veteran, was airlifted to Prisma Health in serious condition. We ask that everyone keeps him in your prayers as he continues to recover. For questions regarding the investigation, @RCSD is handling.

We are pleading with the public to slow down, move over for blue lights, and never drive impaired.
