The motto I live by:
There is always something you can teach
There is always something you can learn
(probably said by someone famous/clever, but I don't know who)
It still amazes me how people are still trying to re-invent the wheel. This problem was solved 15 years ago on the XRP Ledger (the very first DEX in existence). And it seems every blockchain since keeps trying to re-solve it. It is great that this might now be solved on Solana, but I fear this is why we never move on as an industry.
๐ง๐ง Congratulations to @centralbankbb and all the banks and credit unions, looks like the BimPay launch has been a success! A few minor issues with rate limiting but other than that looks like all has worked.

I think it stems from four things:
1. People not realising BimPay is two separate things so thinking they will have to download and install "yet another app" in order to do what they currently do. They don't, you can make payments from one bank to another in your existing bank app in the same was as you always did. It just goes faster.
2. People not realising the current mechanisms for inter-bank payments *already* settles via the Central Bank. So the "gubment in my business" already. BimPay doesn't change that. It just enables transfers between banks to go through instantly rather than taking 2 days.
3. People worried that using the BimPay app versus using cash allows the government to see what money you have. Well yes, OK, it does. But it is entirely optional, you can still use cash. But it does now allow you to take electronic payments, which may be more convenient. I know, personally, there have been a number of times I've not stopped to buy a juice or coconut water as I realised I didn't have any cash on me.
4. Bajans does be Bajans (love wunna!)
๐ง๐ง Well a great evening at Surfers Bay for a charity school PTA auction tonight.
Bad news: my wifeโs knee dislocated again walking out to the car
Good news: we won an aloe head! So fantastically silly.
