One of the few favourites of PM Modi, Shri Satyapal Malik was appointed as the Governor of J&K to carry out BJP's agenda, which he did. However, he seems to have fallen apart on the issue of national security and corruption since the ruling dispensation wasn't honest about either of them.

A few takeaways from former J&K Governor Shri Satyapal Malik's interview:

1. Pulwama was the failure of the BJP Govt and the intelligence agencies

2. CRPF requested for airlifting of the soldiers due to security reasons but the Home Ministry didn’t comply

3. A car laced with 300kgs of RDX sent from Pakistan was allowed to roam around in Kashmir for 10-12 days without being intercepted

4. The route of the convoy was not sanitized. There were 8-10 link roads leading to the main route which was not being manned by the security personnels and were left open

5. After the Pulwama attack, on 14th Feb 2019, PM Modi called Shri Satypal Malik, then Governor of J&K, while shooting for a film at Jim Corbett and the Governor told him that it’s the failure of BJP Govt and the Govt should take the responsibility. Shri Malik said the same to the media that evening, but the PM told the Governor to remain silent and not talk about the failures. NSA Ajit Doval too asked the Governor to remain silent

6. PM Modi & the BJP used the Pulwama attack to garner votes in 2019 elections, while the attack could have been prevented had the Govt and administration not failed

7. PM Modi doesn’t understand anything about Kashmir, he is ill-informed. Unfortunately he is ill-informed about most issues.

8. Abrogation of article-370 and bifurcation of J&K and Ladakh was a good step but reducing J&K into a union territory was unnecessary, according to Shri Malik

9. PM Modi doesn't have any problem with corruption. As the Governor of Goa, Shri Satyapal Malik briefed the PM about the corrupt practices of Chief Minister of Goa, but the PM did not act and soon after the Governor was removed

10. Shri Satyapal Malik received reports of Shri Jitendra Singh, MoS Prime Minister’s Office, using PM’s name for executing corrupt practices and the Governor shared the same with PM Modi but he didn't act upon it

11. Shri Malik support abrogation of Article 370 and because it happened under his watch, so according to the agencies, he has serious threat against his life from Pakistan but the Govt has not provided him adequate security because many in the Modi Govt might want him dead.

12. BJP’s attempts to alienate communities on the basis of their religious identity is not the correct approach. India has always been and will be successful only if all communities live in harmony

13. Modi’s relationship with Adani has damaged the PM’s image. The Adani issue is huge and will wipe off BJP in the coming future

14. PM Modi & BJP are unable to answer the questions raised on illicit money invested into Adani’s companies

15. The BJP & PM Modi have interest in Adani’s money. If there is interest, there would be benefit, if there is benefit, it is their money too, according to Shri Satyapal Malik.

16. All of the BJP Govts are corrupt. A lot of taxpayer’s money is being syphoned and a major portion of that money is being sent to the center and maybe a portion of it goes to Adani too

17. The President of India, Smt Draupadi Murmu, cannot meet anyone without the approval of PMO, as per Shri Satypal Malik. This not only is a disrespect to the highest office of India but also makes the hon'ble chair act as a puppet of the PM

18. BJP cannot leave Adani because Adani will destroy the BJP

These are the revelations of a former Governor of the J&K and who has been a senior leader in the BJP and was close to the PM himself. I am unable to find any reason why all of these claims should not be probed & investigated. If the Governor is to be believed not only the PM and his Govt is involved in corrupt practices, protecting Adani's interests before the national interest but has also compromised the national security and that of our forces by allowing Pakistan to carry out the Pulwama attack, killing 40 of our jawans.
