The slaughter of Palestinian aid workers and the cover up by the IDF, as well as the video showing officers commanding soldiers to shoot civilians are firm evidence that the IDF has completely lost its way. This is merely the tip of the iceberg of what has happened.

The combination of a desire for vengeance after October 7 and the spirit of Kahanism which has become dominant at all levels of society, have produced this rancid outcome.

It is up to us, Israelis, Jews and Zionists to stop giving the IDF a pass. No one benefits from this. The myth of the “most moral army” needs to be discarded once and for all. The army must be reformed from top to bottom. The war must end. The occupation must end. We have to regain our souls.

I’ve spoken with the IDF multiple times about this day and was told “several vehicles were identified advancing suspiciously toward IDF troops without headlights, or emergency signals.”

I talked to a source about allegations of a slaughter of 15 Palestinian paramedics and rescue workers and the claim that they were buried them in a mass grave. As reported by the Guardian.

At least one of the bodies has been found with his hands tied. Israel hid them, along with ambulances and a UN vehicle by burying them with a bulldozer.

The massacre occurred on March 23rd in Rafah. The official IDF claim is that troops had opened fire on several vehicles “advancing suspiciously toward IDF troops without headlights or emergency signals”.

However, an IDF source admitted to me that there is evidence that soldiers executed the workers. It is also not IDF practice to bury Palestinian bodies, this source confirmed, suggesting they knew they had something to hide.

This confirms reports that some of the ambulance staff was still alive after the IDF hit them. Then they were murdered. This is a new low for the IDF. Those responsible must face justice.

The resumption of Israel’s bombardment of Gaza, with the full backing of the US government, is an outrage. Israel’s ongoing assault will only deepen the devastation and suffering already inflicted on Gazans. The claim that Israel's actions are driven by concern for hostages rings hollow when it has repeatedly rejected ceasefire extensions that could have secured their release.

The collective punishment of Gaza must end. We call on the Australian government to take substantial action pressuring Israel towards an immediate and permanent ceasefire.
