On precise intelligence inputs, the Special Task Force (STF) conducted extensive raids across multiple locations near Sarberia Bazaar in Kumrakhali, Basanti, and Sandeshkhali areas.
Forces have successfully seized a massive cache of illegal firearms and ammunition hidden away to disrupt peace.
I highly appreciate the prompt actions and exemplary coordination of the DGP; West Bengal Police, the STF Team and Basirhat Police District Personnel for this successful operation.

For years under the previous regime, such illegal weapons were stockpiled and used ruthlessly to terrorize common citizens. This culture of violence claimed the precious lives of numerous opposition party workers, particularly dedicated BJP Karyakartas, who stood up against tyranny.
Those dark days are over. Our Government remains unconditionally committed to restoring Law and Order. The ‘Swachh App’ has been rolled out across 10 municipalities from 1st June, marking the beginning of a technology-driven approach towards cleaner, healthier and more responsive urban governance.

We are encouraged by the enthusiastic response received from citizens since its launch on the first day itself. On day one - 183 complain received and 139 resolved.

The active participation of residents reinforces our belief that a cleaner and more beautiful Bengal can only be achieved when citizens and government work hand in hand.

Through the Swachh App, citizens can directly report issues relating to garbage accumulation, waterlogging, sanitation concerns and other civic issues, enabling faster response and improved service delivery.

The initiative is currently being implemented in a phased manner across select municipalities. Our teams are continuously monitoring feedback, strengthening systems and refining processes to ensure the highest standards of service. We are also working towards onboarding additional municipalities across West Bengal in phases, ensuring that the platform is robust, efficient and capable of delivering the best possible experience to every citizen.

Clean and healthy cities are built not only through government initiatives but through collective responsibility and civic consciousness.

हरियाणा सरकार से बातचीत के बाद हमें वहां से लगभग 1000 क्यूसेक पानी मिलना शुरू हो गया है। पिछले 5-6 दिनों से इससे हमें काफी राहत मिली है। वज़ीराबाद वाटर ट्रीटमेंट प्लांट (WTP) पर हम यमुना से जो पानी लेते हैं, वहां पहले ही यमुना लगभग सूख चुकी थी और वज़ीराबाद तालाब में भी पानी नहीं बचा था। जलस्तर 674.5 फीट से घटकर 668 फीट रह गया है, यानी करीब 5.5 फीट की गिरावट आई है। इसके कारण पहले जहां हमें लगभग 209 क्यूसेक पानी मिलता था, वह अब घटकर केवल 75 क्यूसेक रह गया है।
