JUST IN: Airline workers are beginning to put a legal barrier between ICE and passengers.
Southwest employees have repeatedly refused to give ICE agents access to flights or passenger information without proper legal authority.
In one Dallas encounter, a gate agent rejected an administrative immigration warrant and required a judicial warrant signed by a judge before allowing agents aboard. Employees also refused to let ICE view passenger information on their computer screens.
The stakes are becoming increasingly real for travelers. Bay Area resident Chantal Morales Rojas was approached by ICE while returning to Oakland; her attorney says she had been legally working under federal employment authorization.
Ossoff: I don’t know who placed those trades, but I’ll tell you this: the SEC better find out. And if they won’t, when you elect this new majority in Congress and you give us gavels and subpoenas, we will.
If you paid $1 in federal income taxes this year, you paid more than:
Walt Disney
Citigroup
CVS
Kohl's
Ticketmaster
Tesla
United Airlines
GoDaddy
Paypal
Palantir
Roku
HP
3M
PG&E
Halliburton
That’s absurd. We need real and progressive tax reform.
Not since grandpa Trump dodged the German draft in 1885, has a single member of Trump’s family spent even a moment in defense of their country. That’s over 140 years or more than half its history. It’s not just Trump who thinks vets are suckers and losers. It’s this whole thing.
🚨 MAJOR BREAKING: A Texas medical examiner has ruled the death of ICE detainee Geraldo Lunas Campos a HOMICIDE.
Cause of death: asphyxia from neck and torso compression.
A fellow detainee says he watched guards choke him to death inside the facility.
ICE initially claimed it was a suicide attempt. The autopsy says otherwise.
