It is unfair to apply this new ruling retroactively.
I would stand by that statement even in regards to Sashi.
How can orgs have faith in the ecosystem if it changes at the drop of a hat.
This is not about it being a correct/incorrect ruling, simply the implementation of it.
This is a great rule change overall for the future of CS Majors, no doubts about that.
BUT, this was a haphazard addition for Singapore. It's offputting to add a new rule mid season this close to the Major.
It fixes an issue, but it should have been added for the next Major.
As much as I love this (Fuck VRS manipulation), I unfortunately do not believe that BC Game and Sashi should have these rules applied to them.
They operated with the understanding that they could switch regions seamlessly and entered into contractual agreements with that rule.
While part of me thinks "Good riddance."
I'm actually opposed to teams being retroactively punished by a VRS rule change mid-season.
Valve knew this was something that could be abused via the Liquid scenario earlier this year, they should've announced it at/after Cologne.
1.
Would something like players with duel citizenships VRS region being decided by the region where their previously registered matches were played avoid situations like this?
Sashi for instance, this Anlelele fella. Though duel citizen, his previously registered matches are EU
@s4KUSY I hope you have fun bro! The latest album has some good tracks, I think Freefall and Poison are my favourite songs. It's crazy how consistency amazing their albums have been, Fateless and the Side effects are top notch. Enjoy the concert!💪
