@CityNewsVAN That story you ran on your 6pm broadcast with the young man claiming Remembrance Day “fetishizes war” was reprehensible. Of all days, you choose today to give him a platform to share this opinion? Journalism clearly hasn’t hit rock bottom yet.
@JoeGuasparini @THEPEAK Yeah, same. The only place I listen to actual radio is on my commute, my Jeep is nearly brand new but no HD radio. Sad times. HD only works as a simulcast of another FM station. There’s no business model for HD-only. Peace out, Peak. Been a good ride.
@JasJohalBC I think the alert system is great, might need some tweaking though. Everyone I know had it come up on their lock screen and disappear right away. Didn’t get to read anything.
@MikeSmythNews Unpopular opinion here: The horse drawn carriages are the problem. I’m usually not a big cycling advocate, only ride the park a couple times a year. But the separated lanes are nice. The horse-caused traffic delays are a nightmare.
@mummymelly2003 @GarnetBees @VancouverPD You would’ve had to be here in the 80s… a Save on Foods rooftop parking lot partially collapsed into the store, just minutes into the grand opening day. Great historical pull by @mummymelly2003 !
@MikeSmythNews@CKNW Motorcycle noise is seasonal and pretty short lived here, in my neighborhood the endless year round noise annoyance is the lifted diesel pickups and “tuner” import cars. They just never quit with the revving and aggression.
@george_affleck How long until we go back to video rental stores… that’s what I’m waiting for. Entertainment technology going full circle! Vinyl made a comeback, anything is possible.
@MikeSmythNews@CKNW If that lunatic you’re interviewing right now thinks his actions will be remembered with the same reverence as MLK’s civil rights movement, he needs his head examined. Thanks for having these people on and showing the public how out of touch they really are.
@MikeSmythNews The fireworks ban reminds me of distracted driving laws. Politicians can pass as many laws as they want, but if there’s little public buy-in and almost no chance of consistent enforcement it’s dead on arrival. So many bigger problems. Random street crime, to start.
Ah yes, the Summer Olympics! When thousands of correspondents and camera people descend on a country to provide the world with a glimpse into hundreds of exciting events full of human greatness. All right, I’m ready for it! Here comes 5000 hours of swimming on TV…
