Gates-founded Breakthrough Energy has already backed natural hydrogen companies, while $EONE just signed an LOI with Mantle8 to pursue hydrogen opportunities across British Columbia and Alberta.

That does NOT mean Gates is buying land for EONE or secretly backing the company.

But the macro connection is interesting: huge land exposure, major clean-energy capital moving into geologic hydrogen, and EONE positioning itself directly inside that emerging industry.

Sometimes the bigger story is where capital, geology and technology start meeting.

$EONE is backing Columbia University research into geologic hydrogen stimulation, with work focused on generating hydrogen from subsurface rock systems and recovering critical minerals at the same time.

The bigger thesis is huge: use existing drilling knowledge and infrastructure to pursue hydrogen in North America instead of relying only on conventional oil and gas development.

Cheap geologic hydrogen, existing drilling equipment, U.S. and Canadian resources. If the technology proves scalable, this could become a very big energy story.
