Last Friday, @patrick_tianyi and I hosted an @TheEtnaLabs Labs dinner on real-world data, RL environments, and evals.

Three takeaways:
real value starts after licensing;
the best env teams look like research labs;
and safety is becoming real demand,not just a checkbox!

They’ve spent decades building worlds with simple rules, emergent strategies, calibrated difficult, and players constantly trying to hack the reward.

Models are just the newest players!
