This is absolutely heartbreaking. Linguistics is the scientific study of human language, & because humans use language for everything, it interfaces with *every single other discipline*. I don’t know how you can propose to have a university without linguistics. #BoycottLeicester
I literally wouldn’t have been able to do my Masters without the @PhilSocUK bursary 💪 funding for linguistics in the UK is few and far between, particularly at masters level. Apply!

At my high school, they once lined all the girls up and measured our skirts with a ruler. They said that our short skirts were a distraction to male staff and the male teachers didn’t know where to look. We are constantly told it is our fault how men treat us.
