$254 billion in tax cuts for the rich and billions more in handouts to big corporations.
$2.85 a day for people on JobSeeker.
$1.12 a day for people on Commonwealth Rent Assistance.
Yep, that seems fair. Well done, Labor. Great cost-of-living-relief budget.
Today, a young feminist taught this old feminist something important. Why should these men who regard us with thinly disguised contempt demand that they bask in our smiles? The young women of today give me such hope. Thank you again @TamePunk
I shall be tweeting about the teachers strike on 7/12 every day to remind teachers that there are many people who know how hard you work & how little you are paid & that you should have #morethanthanks
Morning, a daily reminder that burnt out, exhausted, under-paid, over-burdened teachers can’t do their best for kids, no matter how hard they try. Support their fight 4 better pay, less busy-work & better conditions by tweeting your support for their strike 7/12. #MoreThanThanks
If you ever wondered if schools were a political football, run by govts to suit them rather than children or teachers, peremptorily deciding to bring complex orgs like a schools back a week early with no reference to those who run & organise schools is proof positive.
In our 1950's street almost every fourth home had a kid crippled or dead form polio. I almost died from measles, our school shut by whooping cough. Yesterday's demonstrators look too young to know the reality of life before vaccination. How can we educate the smugly ignorant?
These mass protests by so-called freedom lovers are a massive insult to every front line health worker, police officer, ambo, retail worker, aged care worker, child care worker, disability carer & everyone else who has just had their health & safety just put at increased risk.
@mathletics3pl hi there, I seem to be having trouble finding my class online? Is this something happening to a few different people or just me and my school?
This man changed the way I view the world of education. I remember watching his ted talk for the first time and being so inspired by his words. The world has lost a true hero! Rip Sir Ken Robinson.
It is with heavy hearts that we announce Sir Ken Robinson died peacefully yesterday, 21st August 2020, surrounded by family after a short battle with cancer.
We will be following up with a further update as we begin to follow Sir Ken’s wishes and honour his legacy.
