A5: A few examples: graffiti walls where students share their favorite lines from books, stickers in books that say "____ loved this" allowing students to add their names to the list, and pictures that show students/teachers reading #supportandcelebrate #shelfietalk

A5: Reading groups that discuss what they’ve read is a great way for them to support one another. They have to bring their independent thoughts to the table and it helps build confidence and community. #shelfietalk

A4: Reflecting on our own lives as a reader helps us engage more in what we are reading because we can learn more intellectually, but also practically for our lives. Reading helps us grow and learn as human beings and our students get to engage in that too. How cool! #shelfietalk

A2: Give students choice not just regarding the books they read but WHERE they read - privacy shields, book nook, pillows, rug, etc...anything cozy and comfortable. Make it feel like the kids are getting "me" time in the classroom. #shelfietalk #litbankstreet
