this may be a hot take, but calling one of your fics a "flop" is sad. it just turns something you created out of love and enthusiasm and obsession and experimentation into a performance metric. engagement is neither a good nor a pure measure of quality.+

@ortholily i totally understand that but what i struggle with is like Writing those thoughts yk? idk i feel i don't have enough words to write or describe the character's world

sometimes i feel like i don't have enough words to write the inner monologue or descriptions of a character in a fic like i'll be belting out dialogues but nothing about what happens around it...make it make sense

@rdhesselbrock i feel it does depend on story a lot! for me personally, descriptions always feel limited like okay what next what should i add more about this world here. i don't understand whether the writers plan it or do they just write whatever comes to them in that moment.

writing fics as a non native english speaker is so fun. my spelling is british bc of school. my vocabulary is mostly american bc of what i watch/read. my punctuation is some rules i learnt on tumblr that idk what english they fit and others i hate and ignore. confusing EVERYBODY
