X is having a full-blown meltdown according to Down Detector. Messages disappearing, issues with spaces, and inboxes frozen with people unable to message their friends for hours. Some can’t send, others can’t even read old messages.
This is the paid social media app. The one that’s supposed to be better than the free ones.
We love it here… but man, fix the basics.
JUST IN: President Trump BLASTED Apple CEO Tim Cook, warning that if they continue to manufacture iPhones in India instead of the United States, he will impose a 25% tariff on them.
Trump wrote on Truth Social: “I have long ago informed Tim Cook of Apple that I expect their iPhone's that will be sold in the United States of America will be manufactured and built in the United States, not India, or anyplace else. If that is not the case, a Tariff of at least 25% must be paid by Apple to the U.S. Thank you for your attention to this matter!”
Get in line Tim Apple!
The usual suspects in the “conservative” influencer griftosphere are shouting, “What’s the practical alternative? Trump’s hands are tied by Congress!”
The idea that Trump is somehow hamstrung by a GOP Congress that treats him like a deity is beyond ludicrous.
Trump has been demanding passage of precisely this bill, the one he nicknamed the Big, Beautiful Bill. He has threatened to primary anyone who opposes it.
The practical alternative is for a Republican president to use his position of considerable influence to actually get spending under control.
Just once, maybe, he could demand real spending cuts.
Trump had every political advantage this term—a Republican Congress, Elon Musk and DOGE, and post-election momentum.
Yet he chose the most impractical route of all: insisting that Congress continue its massive overspending, pushing the United States further down the path of a debt crisis.
@mirandadevine@TuckerCarlson@ComicDaveSmith@DouglasKMurray The joke is on you. They managed to keep your attention for 2 hours.
Still... I have yet to hear a single Murray defender, nor himself propose a counter-argument to anything Dave has said, yet.
