It's so important to love your children fully and deeply and without reservation. If you don't, they'll spend a lifetime learning how to love the parts of them that still hurt.
Some days it just mystifies & fortifies me, the fact that thousands of centuries have gone by of human beings trying to put into words the divine dazzle & ache of being here. & We can read their prayers, their poems. It's a form of time-travel, aching in timeless togetherness.
God,
You are a healer of all wounds. You’ve turned my past pain into my purpose. Thank you for always being there & never giving up on me. You’ve carried me through some of my darkest moments. You have given me the strength & power to keep going. Can’t even thank you enough.
I’m grateful for my training that supports me in feeling less reactive, triggered, irritable, overstimulated, stressed and instead more resilient, peaceful, neutral and curious. And even when I do get triggered or overwhelmed my recovery time is much shorter than it used to be.
Yes, love yourself first! But remember you deserve people that love you, right now, period—regardless if you feel healed or not.
Yes, have self worth! But remember that your community can either build or break it.
Healing is a community group effort. Don’t ever forget this.
