Glad to share that, after the successful enhancement of MBBS seats at Government Medical College Jammu and Government Medical College Srinagar, approval has now been accorded for an additional 50 MBBS seats at Government Medical College Rajouri, increasing its intake capacity from 100 to 150 seats.

Hundreds of contractual teachers in J&K Govt colleges face job insecurity and low pay₹28,000 against ₹57,000 UGC norms. Despite HC directions on regularisation, justice is delayed. Fair education starts with fair treatment of educators.

Hundreds of qualified contractual teachers serving in J&K’s Government colleges continue to face uncertainty, no job security, a meagre ₹28,000 salary against ₹57,000 UGC norms, and denial of basic entitlements. With the Hon’ble High Court having directed regularisation, urgent intervention is respectfully sought for an early and just resolution.
A fair education system must rest on fairness to its educators.

JK HED takes affidavits from contractual college lecturers restricting them from working anywhere else during the academic session but when winter vacations come they don't give salaries. @manojsinha_@OmarAbdullah@sakinaitoo@tslnewsnetwork
@MehboobaMufti This university is the Asset of Pirpanjal but unfortunately the university declines in every step like the admission process, low faculty members and many other issues related to functioning of university so it's requested to @OfficeOfLGJandK and @OmarAbdullah intervene
@JKNC_@OmarAbdullah As of Mar 2025, no salary hike for J&K degree college contractual lecturers despite demands. They earn ₹28,000 (NET) vs. ₹57,000 in Ladakh, facing delays and disparities. Finance dept. reviewed it in Dec 2024, but no updates. They too have families—why the inaction?
@JKNC_ MLA Javaid Beigh disrespected our esteemed female journalist @Qazi_Saima19. Such arrogance & rudeness is completely unacceptable. This kind of intolerable behavior has no place in democracy Beigh sahib.
Altruistically employees were waiting for this budget like crescent moon, particularly 1% HRA, timely GPF ,VTs,minimum wages and salaries of NHM,college contractual lectures,Rehber khail and others at par with Ladakh UT.
I can say"to make much ado about nothing". @paa_jk@JKVTWA
Forced to participate in Republic Day celebrations with no pay, salary hike or travel allowance (₹3,000). College Contr. faculty also deserve respect, not exploitation. while Perm.Stff enjoy ₹3,000/day we don't have penny to travel #BoycottCall#norrepublicday#salaryhike
@Surinderch55@OmarAbdullah Please do justice with highly Qualified Students in jammu and Kashmir.
Please hike the salary of Contractual Lectures in jammu and Kashmir
J&K college lecturers are paid a measly ₹28,000/month while those in Ladakh get a whopping ₹57,000/month! It's time for the J&K govt to step up and give our educators the fair pay they deserve! We mean, think about it... these lecturers are shaping the minds of our future generations, and yet they're struggling to make ends meet. It's a travesty!
