Thomas Massie announces that he is introducing legislation to immediately stop federal funding for Flock Cameras and any other mass surveillance cameras operating under a different name.

Massie compares Flock Cameras to the FISA program, calling them un-American and saying they are always abused by bad actors.

For years we’ve been told offshore wind is the future of reliable energy 🙄. But in a sworn court declaration, Vineyard Wind CEO Klaus Skoust Møller painted a very different picture.

According to Møller’s declaration filed in Massachusetts Superior Court:

“The wind farm continues to produce less than half of its expected capacity, which is well below what is needed for the Project to comply with its financing obligations.”

He also warned:

“The Project cannot survive at its current levels of actual power production.”

Those aren’t the words of offshore wind opponents, they’re the words of the CEO of Vineyard Wind in a court filing.

The declaration was filed as part of Vineyard Wind’s legal dispute with GE Vernova over turbine performance. Vineyard Wind argued the project was producing far below expectations and that its financial viability was at risk.

BOEM’s own Vineyard Wind 1 Final Environmental Impact Statement states:

“Overall, it is anticipated that there would be no collective impact on global warming as a result of offshore wind projects.”

If BOEM concluded there would be no collective impact on global warming, why are we industrializing our ocean with offshore wind projects?

For decades, the general public was told that clear cutting was a terrible thing — an environmental sin that destroyed the woods. Almost everyone bought into that narrative… except the people who actually worked in forestry. They knew the truth all along, and now, thank goodness, more folks are waking up to it.

Managed clear cutting is one of the best tools we have for healthy, resilient forests. Here in New Hampshire, responsible forestry practices — including strategic clear cuts — have helped keep our woods remarkably free of catastrophic wildfires for a very long time. By removing excess fuel loads (dead trees, thick underbrush, and overcrowded stands), we prevent the kind of explosive, uncontrollable fires that have devastated other parts of the country.

But the benefits go far beyond fire safety:

- **Wildlife habitat improves dramatically.** Many of our game species thrive in the early successional growth that follows a proper clear cut.
- **Revenue for conservation.** Timber sales generate funds that support habitat projects, public access, and Fish and Game programs — all without raising taxes.
- **Natural forest renewal.** When sunlight reaches the forest floor, fast-growing pioneer species like white birch, aspen, and pin cherry shoot up first. They stabilize the soil, provide quick cover, and set the stage for the slower-growing oaks, maples, pines, and hemlocks that follow. It’s nature’s own cycle of rebirth and succession, just accelerated and guided by careful management.

A healthy forest isn’t a static museum piece — it’s a living, dynamic system that needs disturbance and regeneration to stay vibrant. Our professional foresters have understood this for generations. It’s time the rest of us caught up.

Let’s keep supporting science-based, responsible forest management here in the Granite State. Our wildlife, our firefighters, our economy, and future generations will all be better for it.
