My spirit was down this morning.

I read the account of two girls kidnapped along the Okene Abuja road and the terrible things done to them in captivity and it broke me.

One told her dad not to bother paying her ransom as she would kill her self when eventually released, that they have been r*pping her continuously for three days. They got angry and shot her while the dad was still listening.

The other was released after her ransom was paid but the trauma she faced (I can't bring myself to write about it) even psychiatrists are struggling to bring her around. She is in FCMC Kaduna now.

Are these stories not being told to Tinubu?

What about Remi that is a mother? Is she not hearing about it?

My unpopular opinion is that Nigeria needs to stop! We need to pause and acknowledge the trauma we are living through. Unions need to go on strike. Everyone needs to take a week long moment of silence. Going on like nothing is happening, is inhumane and insane. Phew!

The success of COML and TBWG is mostly word of mouth.

Producers will have to become more strategic about their films.

And word of mouth is not the same thing as influencer marketing.

You need to identify your audience, make films for them, & target your marketing accordingly

I'm the same. I'm very sentimental. I do not feel shame nor am I afraid of vulnerability. But I've learned it's important to pay attention when the next person consistently shows you lack of reciprocity. As a person with depth you will be fundamentally unhappy in shallow waters and you are doing yourself a disservice by overstaying in those situations. I lingered for far too long in limerance with half assed lovers. It was when I completely released everyone who couldn't meet me where I was that I met my current boyfriend. We clicked instantly and he pursued me in a way I've never been pursued. He's incredibly attentive and expressive. There isn't a single emotional, spiritual, or physical need he does not meet for me.

Yes it's rare to find but you have to make space for it.
