Punjab Needs a Bold Industrial Vision -Why We Punjabis Need a BJP Government Like Haryana for Economic Revival Punjab once stood as India’s economic powerhouse. We led the Green Revolution, built world-class industries, and became a symbol of hard work and enterprise. Today, however, our state is steadily losing investment, industries are shifting to neighbouring states, unemployment is rising, and thousands of our youth are leaving Punjab every year in search of better opportunities.
The recent decision of the BJP government in Haryana, under the dynamic leadership of Hon’ble Chief Minister Shri Nayab Singh Saini Ji, to introduce a Progressive MSME and Export Promotion Policy targeting ₹55,000 crore in investment, creation of over five lakh jobs, and doubling exports over the next five years should serve as a wake-up call for Punjab.
The question every Punjabi should ask is simple:
If Haryana can do it, why can’t Punjab?
Punjab Cannot Afford to Fall Behind
Punjab has every natural advantage—our strategic location, entrepreneurial culture, skilled workforce, fertile land, and excellent connectivity. Yet investors increasingly prefer Haryana, Gujarat, Uttar Pradesh, and Rajasthan because their governments provide stable policies, faster approvals, better infrastructure, and attractive incentives.
Unfortunately, Punjab has failed to keep pace.
We Need a BJP Government That Prioritises Economic Growth
In my view, Punjab now needs a BJP government, under strong and visionary leadership similar to that of Haryana Chief Minister Shri Nayab Singh Saini Ji, that places economic development, industrialisation, employment, and investment at the centre of governance.
Across the country, BJP-led governments have focused on improving the ease of doing business, developing world-class infrastructure, strengthening exports, and encouraging private investment. The progressive MSME policy introduced by the Haryana government under Shri Nayab Singh Saini Ji’s leadership is a clear example of this development-oriented approach.
Punjab deserves the same ambition, the same urgency, and the same commitment to economic transformation.
What Punjab Needs
Punjab should introduce a comprehensive Industrial and MSME Policy that includes:
Capital investment subsidies for new industries.
Investment Creates Employment
The biggest concern for every Punjabi family today is employment.
When industries invest, young people find jobs, local businesses grow, government revenues increase, and families no longer have to send their children to other states or overseas simply to build a future.
Punjab’s youth deserve opportunities at home.
Our farmers are our pride, but agriculture alone cannot drive Punjab’s future economy.
Punjab must become a leader in manufacturing, exports, technology, logistics, food processing, tourism, and services. A diversified economy will strengthen both industry and agriculture while creating sustainable prosperity.Time for a New Direction
As a Punjabi, I believe our state needs a government with a clear economic vision, strong leadership, and policies that inspire investor confidence.
Punjab needs a BJP government that can bring development-oriented policies similar to those being successfully implemented in Haryana under the leadership of Hon’ble Chief Minister Shri Nayab Singh Saini Ji. By focusing on industrial growth, infrastructure development, skill enhancement, exports, and employment generation, Punjab can once again become one of India’s leading economic engines. The choice before us is simple: continue losing investment and talent to neighbouring states, or embrace policies that create jobs, attract industries, and secure a brighter future for the next generation.
Punjab has the talent. Punjab has the potential. What we now need is the right leadership, the right vision, and the right policies to unlock it.
A prosperous Punjab will not only benefit Punjabis—it will strengthen the entire nation.
The proceedings at Sri Akal Takht Sahib have raised serious questions.
Laws concerning the sanctity of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji are not matters of politics—they are matters of faith and responsibility. If legislators are unable to clearly explain the provisions of a law they supported, it raises important questions about the legislative process.
Punjab deserves leadership that thoroughly understands every law before passing it, especially when it concerns the faith and sentiments of sikhs.
