RAMS GET REVENGE ‼️
🏈 PK Dish #4 (1/9)
🍽️ Rams -9.5 (-120 HR)

• Buying a half point here to get under the key number of 10. Expecting bad weather here and I think that favors the Rams and their elite run game. Kyren and Corum have been great complementing each other and are the 7th ranked rushing offense facing a 20th ranked run D in Carolina. In their previous matchup, the Rams moved the ball at will and racked up 152 yards on the ground. That’s going to be key in the bad weather.
• Lots of trends point to taking the dogs on Wildcard weekend especially double digit dogs. However, there’s a big trend that I love more than that. Quarterbacks making their first ever playoff start (Bryce Young) versus a Quarterback with playoff experience (Stafford) are 20-39-1 ATS and 20-40 straight up. I don’t have data to back this up but we’re also getting a first time HC in his first playoff appearance versus a HC with playoff and Super Bowl experience. Big advantage to the Rams here in my opinion.
• Lastly, Carolina shocked the world. They’re the only team in NFL history where every single one of their wins were as an underdog. An insane stat but I think some regression hits them hard here. In their first matchup, the Panthers were unbelievably lucky. Coming into their 12th game, Stafford only threw two picks. He had both a Redzone INT and a pick 6 and a fumble loss. All of that and they still only lost by 3. Carolina’s luck continued on the offensive end as well. They converted TWO TDs on 4th down: a 43 yard TD pass on 4th and 2 and a 33 yard TD pass on 4th and 3. 4th down conversion rates regress especially those going for touchdowns.
• All in all we have a revenge spot for the Rams with the more experienced QB and HC. Give me the Rams -9.5.
