@Selwyyyyn As far as I remember first cyclone to be named after oct 27,2005 rains was Cyclone Baaz, where chennai received 10cms rains at night in 1 hr. From cyclone Baaz, the proper naming of cyclone started by IMD. I may be wrong but this is what I remember.

@UpdatesChennai I feel we have sailed through better compared to what we were before. There were time when our exports are 20-30% less than hyd. (I may be wrong)But It's better now and hope we will progress well in coming years!
