At least the point of disagreement is now clear you believe that the Prophet ﷺ and the twelve Imams are superior to every created being who ever existed, including all the Prophets and Messengers of Allah.

But this is precisely where the serious Quranic problem begins. Allah جل جلاله explicitly says regarding His Messengers:

تلك الرسل فضلنا بعضهم على بعض

“Those Messengers - We favoured some of them over others.”
Al-Baqarah 2:253

And Allah جل جلاله says:

ولقد فضلنا بعض النبيين على بعض

“And We have certainly favoured some of the Prophets over others.”
Al-Isra 17:55

Allah جل جلاله establishes the ranks and superiority among His Prophets and Messengers. So where is the equally clear ayah establishing that eleven non-prophetic Imams after Muhammad ﷺ occupy a rank above Ibrahim, Musa, Isa, Nuh and the rest of the Prophets عليهم السلام?

This becomes even more significant when Allah جل جلاله identifies an exceptionally elevated group among the Messengers:

فاصبر كما صبر أولو العزم من الرسل

“So be patient, as those of determination among the Messengers were patient.”
Al-Ahqaf 46:35

Ibrahim عليه السلام was Khalil Allah. Musa عليه السلام was Kalim Allah. Isa عليه السلام was the Messiah and a Messenger of Allah. Nuh عليه السلام was among the greatest Messengers. Yet we are being asked to accept that individuals who were not Prophets or Messengers were nevertheless superior in rank to all of them.

Saying that Imamah is a “status and responsibility from Allah” does not itself prove universal superiority over the Prophets. That enormous theological claim requires enormous evidence. Where is the clear Quranic text saying that the twelve Imams are superior to every Prophet except Muhammad ﷺ?

So thank you for stating the doctrine plainly. It removes the distraction and brings us directly to the real question if this hierarchy is genuinely part of the religion revealed by Allah جل جلاله, where did Allah جل جلاله clearly establish it in His Book?
