Peter Obi Exposed!
He imports goods into Nigeria, makes money here, and moves it offshore through a company linked to his 12 year old daughter, Gabriella Nwamaka Frances Obi, established in 2010 while he was Governor of Anambra State, instead of investing in production in Nigeria.
I can’t describe my feelings right now… Football always gives back to those who keep believing.. To the fans who kept believing, you deserve this… Arsenal; the club that will stay in my heart forever, you deserve this… The players and everyone at the club who made it happen, you deserve this… Congratulations to the best club in the world ❤️ @Arsenal
@Ankamagyimi___ Full credit to Chelsea in particular, who could have hunkered down in the last 20 minutes to take 2-2 draw back home for second leg but pushed on to lose 5-2. Courage! Belief!
Despite an 18% decline in upstream spending across Sub-Saharan Africa, Nigeria retained the top spot in 2025, attracting $5.3bn in upstream capital investment.
Only two FIDs were recorded across Sub-Saharan Africa in 2025, Nigeria secured one.
The Shell–Sunlink HI Field (OML 144), a shallow-water non-associated gas project, reached FID following Nigeria’s Non-Associated Gas (NAG) incentives issued in 2024, restoring commercial viability and unlocking critical gas feedstock for NLNG.
For context: between 2015–2023, Nigeria captured just 4% ($5bn) of sanctioned African FIDs (6 of 44 projects). Over the last two years, Nigeria has secured 38% ($8bn), 5 of 8 projects across the continent.
This turnaround reflects the impact of decisive reforms over the past 24 months. Nigeria now offers among the most competitive deep-water fiscal terms globally and the most attractive gas terms in Africa.
Looking ahead to 2026, we expect additional FIDs supported by targeted incentives and a stable, investor-focused policy framework

The President has already delivered on pensions.
With respect, this is not a return to a Defined Benefit scheme. The Pension Reform Act 2014 already provides for professors to retire at age 70 with enhanced pension benefits, including up to 100% of last salary, subject to funding of the differential. Over the years, the issue was funding and implementation.
What has changed is leadership and execution. President Tinubu took the decisive step to clear long-standing government pension liabilities, including pension differentials. As a result, eligible professors have begun receiving these benefits within the Contributory Pension Scheme, which remains fully intact.
Pension obligations are no longer being deferred. Pension increases for all FGN treasury-funded MDAs, as well as Pension Boost for CPS retirees, have been implemented, arrears cleared, and all government pension liabilities eliminated for the first time in almost 20 years.
Reflecting on the first week of work in 2026, @realFemiOtedola and @TonyOElumelu have given us a roaring start already.
With the Geregu exit, Femi turned an investment in power into a landmark deal, while simultaneously deepening his position in banking. This speaks to deft positioning. Femi, you backed investor foresight with conviction and knew exactly when to act decisively.
The mark of an exceptional investor is not simply in making an investment. The mastery lies in knowing when to exit. This, I must admit, was executed in spectacular fashion. 🙇🏾♂️🙇🏾♂️🙇🏾♂️
For Tony, stepping into Seplat as a major shareholder is a long, deliberate bet on African capability; on ownership; on governance and on the belief that our energy future should increasingly be shaped by those who live and build at home.
These are exceptional deals that set the tone not just for the year ahead, but for how value is truly created.
Well done, my brothers. #winning

I would like to begin by stating that matters pertaining to halal and haram should be left to those qualified to discuss them, especially when they require the requisite knowledge and analytical skills. The Prophet ﷺ said:
“Whoever gives a ruling without knowledge will bear the burden of those who acted upon it.”
The serious implication here is that even if a sheikh gives the same ruling as an unqualified person, he still earns one reward because he based it on some textual evidence rather than mere whims. The Prophet ﷺ also said:
إذ اجتهد الحاكم فأصاب فله أجران وإن أخطأ فله أجر واحد
“If a scholar strives to make a ruling, he earns two rewards if he is correct, and one reward if he is mistaken.”
Therefore, it is crucial to know your place and avoid putting yourself in trouble on the Day of Qiyamah.
I wouldn’t know if they don’t want to be tagged but for the sake of discussion, I will refer to the mashayikh as “Sheikh 1” and “Sheikh 2.” Sheikh 1 mentioned that matters of halal and haram in Islam are generally clear, and whatever Allah or His Prophet left unmentioned is subtly an indication of permissibility. His justification comes from the Hadith of Abu Thalabah:
إن الله فرض فرائض فلا تضيعوها…. و سكت عن أشياء غير نسيان رحمة لكم، فلا تبعثوا عنها…
“Allah has made certain obligations, so do not neglect them… and He has remained silent about certain matters, not out of forgetfulness but as a mercy to you, so do not inquire into them.”
Sheikh 1 concluded that Christmas food does fall under the matters Allah kept silent about, hence it leans toward permissibility.
However, Christmas, without any iota of doubt is considered among the mutashabihat (ambiguous matters), as evidenced in the Hadith of Numan bn Basheeir:
الحلال بين، الحرام بين و بينهما متشابهات…
“Halal is clear, haram is clear, and in between them are matters of ambiguity…”
Only a few people are able to determine where exactly these ambiguous matters fall. I have explained this Hadith extensively elsewhere, so I will not repeat all the derived principles here.
Let’s examine the Hadith of Adiyy bn Haatim, who used to hunt with his dog(s). He said:
“I send my dog to hunt and find another dog with it?” He was told: “Do not eat; for you only said Bismillah on your dog, and you did not say on the other.”
This means that when he sends his dog to hunt after saying Bismillah on it, and the dog goes hunting with other dogs that he didn’t say Bismillah on them. He shouldn’t eat because there is the likelihood of the other dog being the one who killed the animal.
This leads to a principle that states:
إذا اجتمع الحرام مع الحلال علي وجه لا يتمايز، غلب جانب الحرام
When halal and haram mix to the point where neither can be separated from the other, in this case, haram would supersede halal.
Let’s continue sha!
Allah commands the Prophet to inform the Muslims :
قل أحل لكم الطيبات و طعام الذين أوتو الكتاب حل لكم…
“Say: Lawful for you are the good things and the food of the People of the Book.”
This verse can be interpreted generally, as Sheikh 2 explained that a general principle in usool states:
العام يبقى علي عمومه حتى يرد دليل التخصيص أو المخصص
“A general text remains general until evidence specifies otherwise.”
This means any food from Christians or Jews is permissible unless there is evidence explicitly forbidding it.
Here we find a relevant verse that isolates a category of food, which can serve as an explicit statement and also a general statement.
“Forbidden to you are carrion, blood, the flesh of swine, and that which has been dedicated to other than Allah.”

Ok, so last week was surreal.
It marked the launch of a project that I've carried on my head and held close to my heart for almost 10 years. One that has gestated and morphed until it was finally given birth to in the ancient city of Kaduna this past Thursday.
The 20th of November, 2025, on the opening day of the Silver Jubilee events of the Arewa Consultative Forum, witnessed the official launch of @TruNORTH_NG a one-stop-shop for all things Northern Nigeria.
It's an online business and social community with various tools and services to make life as a Northerner easier, more productive and harmonious and, most importantly, safer.
But let me rewind..

Whoever has many sins and wishes it to remove without any Hardship.
Ibn Battal said:
"Whoever has many sins and wishes for those sins to be removed without any hardship,
Nigeria is following Lagos State's playbook.
Lagos has been investing in local startups and recently proposed dedicating part of its annual budget to innovation.
Now the federal government is catching up.
As a single mother I am saying this:
Men have a sense of balance when it comes to providing routine and discipline but also support, encouragement, and show unwavering dedication to their children. Men also tend to lead with more logic than emotion while still allowing room for their children to feel and express emotions. They also tend to be able to separate their trauma they’re healing from their responsibilities as a father.
A lot of women (not all but a large majority) don’t know how to balance all of these things on top of not allowing their emotions get the better of them. A lot of women also are jealous of their children, harbor spoken or unspoken resentment toward them for a broken home, or refuse to break the cycle of trauma in some capacity. Hell, some women with a partner struggle with this as well but it can become more apparent when single.
Whoever recites this dua during the day or night with firm belief, then happens to pass away before the next morning or evening, he will be counted among the dwellers of Jannah.
