I would like to dedicate this win to @GmNaroditsky. It was one of his favourite tournaments. We have played endless bullets and hyperbullets, which definitely contributed to my growth as a player.
@DeveshsK_@PHChess Gukesh' style of pushing even when there's no need is what made him WC. On day 1 a full point is a confidence booster, so spending extra energy would be totally justifiable imo &again-0.4 doesn't mean that the chances of winning are lower, it's higher btonly if you choose to play
@DeveshsK_@PHChess I think there's a significant imbalance otb with position being far from a draw & black is having all the fun. There are certain players (Gukesh, Carlsen etc) who'd push even when all the computer lines show 0.00 bt I guess that's the differentiator between WCs & great players
@gutsy_gambit@Harryputtar98@FIDE_chess FFS why do some Indians love themselves portraying as a victim? He has criticized as well as praised the Indian chess countless times. He doesn't like to sugarcoat anything. Remember what he said abt Pragg after their encounter in Norway2024? Or abt Gukesh' calculation skills? 🤦🏻
@Gyan49485 I mean the performance speaks for itself. He went +6 against that field including 2-0 against Pragg without showing any particular weaknesses. If that fails to change ur opinion abt him then obviously you're an idiot.
@kaushik0803 "Gukesh very impressive bt nothing to be impressed in the WC match vs. Ding. The player clearly wasn't himself & was struggling mentally for the past two years.
Thing which seems out of this world to be doing by 18 bt it's clearly not if u look at the whole picture"
@Gyan49485 It's the complete opposite with the WCC title, though. Ever since Magnus left the title, whoever touches it seems to forget how to play chess.
