@Chiuchiyin this is how it should be, being a kid shouldn't be for enjoying and eating candy and going to amusement parks, those should be for the old π
different spiritualities/philosophies/sciences on: regret, good/bad friends, happiness/peace, analysis, habits, energeticness/concentration/discipline, purpose (teaching? make a good example? family? smartest/happiest/most productive community/kingdom?), righteousness vs. self-righteousness, hypocrisy, destructive selfishness vs. greater good, respecting your self as well as others, what is wisdom defined as, power dynamics, discernment, liberation/salvation/goal, freedom?, principles!, consciousness in the universe being interpretation and choice, animals don't really regret because humans have temporal understanding and memory/analysis, more data, but need solutions, humans have escapism, addiction/escapism vs. enjoyment, what is the goal? family, health, productivity?, cult and dogma vs inquiry and transparency, truth vs. idyllicness, hurt, resentment, greater purpose, money, everyone has a subconscious philosophy that is created even if they don't have clear principles they're following? things determined good and bad, and if they are following certain principles they still have their own version? can be seen in actions and thoughts and justifications...
goal, maybe to find the direct quotes from, suttas, the Bible, maybe Hindu texts? the dao de jing? the Quran? Ancient Greece? more modern philosophers? fiction? maybe it's all more similar that not? maybe it can be interesting to clarify standpoints?
last Bible passage I read: Mark 4, Jesus saying some see but don't perceive, some hear but don't understand, some hear the word and enjoy it for a bit until they forget, some hear it and enjoy it until they reach hardship and they forget, some hear it but when desires for money and the flesh come they forget, some hear it and grow it tenfold, a hundred-fold. what could qualify for being the word? what is worth remembering, or is it different for everyone?
i guess everyone just wants to solve their and others' problems and live a 'good' life...
ah consciousness in the universe
@garrytan path from bad place to better place, what motivators are missing, what justifications are there to stay, what habits are there, good and bad, budget, cost, tracing the money, community, (purpose?)
@thecosmicpoet i wanna see a movie with the 'bad guys' being every sort of foolishness delineated in the universe, and the good guys with every sort of wisdom. kind of would be like a picture of samsara
