What happens next matters.
In the past, efforts to build "unity" and "consensus" in Washington have too often meant turning over the keys to giant corporations and their lobbyists.
We can't let that happen again.
@ProjectLincoln might want to keep in mind that this administration just rolled back regulation that kept the coal industry from poisoning the water in NC
@ProjectLincoln I'm on the lookout for my NC ballot in the mail, but I've changed my plan since requesting it. I will be suiting up with mask, face shield, gloves, & my own pen & going to early voting on the first day. He will not take my vote!!
5. Us versus Them populism. "Elites" versus "the people" nationalism. Autocratic populists use polarizing identity politics to divide societies all the time. Many populist leaders actually have little in common with the "masses." (Putin is very rich.)
I hope these voters see the bigger issue! What hypocrisy! Trump can lie, call names, promote racism, defend his friends and corruption, and then it comes down to abortion!! Really! As a catholic I feel offended— how many kids have been sexually abused by the church! Get real!
I’m so grateful to have had the opportunity to address the #DemConvention tonight. The way I see it, big problems demand big solutions—and I’m in this fight through November and beyond to get big things done for the American people.
Watch my speech—and let’s do this together:
Representation matters. Tonight, Democrats have shown an amazing, beautiful display of diversity & women leaders.
If you’re thinking to yourself an hour and a half in, and we’ve yet to see a white man, don’t worry, white men have had 240 years of representation. They’ll be ok.
.@JoeBiden made me a better president. I’m asking you to believe in his and Kamala’s ability to help make us a better country. More importantly, I’m asking you to believe in your own and to help them, in this election and beyond.
