Latest on Sheffield United.
An instalment from the new owners to Prince Abdullah’s team was due at end of June has also been missed. This means about £35m is now claimed to be overdue.
Former owners have now written to both EFL and IFR expressing their concerns over perceived weaknesses in the OADT and whether selling clubs to related parties could have implications for other deals where payments are made on an instalment basis.
@owlsmadmorris@ashmore_matt I’d agree with your point if Dawson had no hands, but he’s more than competent enough to be a number 2. Especially in League 1… a 1yr+1 option would be decent business if he’s a back up.
@Tgarratt10 Last night is a prime example of why Palmer or Foden should’ve been on the plane. They’re the only 2 attacking midfielders we have with the technical ability to unlock a defence like that.
I’m so deluded that we’re winning this world cup that I believe Tuchel orchestrated this to create a siege mentality in the camp. I’m all for it Tommy T🏴
@ConnorMitch1867 Think as long as it goes to someone who genuinely can’t afford to buy a ticket, whether it be school kids or a pensioner it shouldn’t matter. I get the point your making in terms of it’s the next generation of fans. However there’s other ways to get younger people in the ground.
@ashmore_matt I don’t think giving him a shot at the job is worrying, I think what would be worrying is if it doesn’t work out within 6 months and they continue to stick with him…
Not going to bother writing a full story, because it’s not a major update, but just a note to say that everything still seems to be on track regarding the takeover and hopes for tomorrow. Storch and Co now in town. The finish line is in sight.
