ATIKU WAS RIGHT: TINUBU’S $20BN LOAN REQUEST VALIDATES HIS WARNING — NOW EXPLAIN THE COASTAL HIGHWAY LINK
Former Vice President and African Democratic Congress presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, has said President Bola Tinubu’s request for approval to borrow $20.52 billion and €1.045 billion vindicates the warning he gave Nigerians on October 12 about a loan plan of up to $20 billion.
Atiku said the President’s failure to identify the specific projects to be funded deepens serious concerns that the Lagos–Calabar Coastal (now inland) Highway, could be used to channel borrowed public money to Tinubu’s political campaigners and favoured contractors.
In a statement issued by Phrank Shaibu, Director of Strategic Communication of the ADC Presidential Campaign Council, Atiku said:
“On October 12, I warned Nigerians that President Tinubu was reportedly preparing to borrow up to $20 billion in connection with the Lagos–Calabar Coastal Highway. I demanded that he confirm or deny the plan and publish the accounts. He did neither. Today, he has asked the Senate to approve $20.52 billion and €1.045 billion in external loans. My warning has been vindicated.
“The President has listed broad sectors but has not provided Nigerians with a project by project account of what this enormous borrowing will fund. There are no clear project details, costs, locations or contractors for the public to scrutinise.
“That silence is especially troubling when the Coastal Highway has been rerouted inland. Nigerians have every right to ask whether the highway is being turned into a pipeline for borrowed money to reach Tinubu’s campaigners and favoured contractors. How can any President, barely 12 weeks before an election, ask lawmakers to saddle Nigerians with more than $20 billion and €1 billion in debt without identifying the projects and their costs? Is this a development plan for Nigerians or a campaign financing scheme dressed up as infrastructure? Tinubu must answer.”
“The National Assembly must not approve a single dollar until the President publishes every project, contract, cost, contractor, loan term and repayment obligation. No public money should be borrowed in the dark. No lawmaker should sign a blank cheque against Nigeria’s future.
“I warned Nigerians before this request reached the Senate. Now the burden is on Tinubu to prove that this borrowing will serve the country, not his political interests.”
Atiku called on lawmakers to make the proposal and its supporting documents public and subject them to rigorous scrutiny before any decision.

It also demanded that President Tinubu publish a comprehensive account of all domestic and foreign borrowing undertaken since May 29, 2023, alongside a detailed breakdown of the revenue realised from subsidy removal and how the funds have been applied.
The Council further called for full disclosure of the proposed loans’ purposes, interest rates, repayment periods, associated fees, conditionalities and any collateral or guarantees attached to the facilities.
It insisted that Nigerians have a constitutional and democratic right to know the obligations being incurred in their name and the implications for the country’s fiscal future.
“Nigeria cannot borrow its way out of poor economic management. Borrowing must be tied to clearly defined national priorities, transparent expenditure and measurable outcomes. Anything less is an injustice to the Nigerian people.
“The National Assembly must not abdicate its oversight responsibilities. It must insist on accountability and ensure that no borrowing arrangement places the country’s future at unacceptable risk.
“Nigerians must not be compelled to pay indefinitely for loans whose purposes, terms and benefits remain unclear. Our country must not mortgage its future through opaque and unsustainable borrowing,” the ADC-PCC stated.

President Tinubu’s Government Lacks the Capacity to Deal With Nigeria’s Problems; He Does Not Have the Energy Required for Nigeria; He Must Go Home - Obi
We need him to go home because Nigeria cannot be governed by his energy. Nigeria needs a president who will be available and be there at any location in the country that has a problem. We cannot be in government, and 600 people will be kidnapped and taken into the bush; we will go into that bush with them.

DSS arraigns Atiku supporter for circulating a fake letter of President Tinubu
An avowed supporter of former Vice President Atiku Abubakar now faces trial in Kaduna for circulating a document purportedly written by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to the President of the United States of America.
The suspect, Mubarak ABDULLAHI (aka Sardaunan Samari), was arrested on 28 September for sharing the fake document on his Facebook page with the caption "ATIKU IS COMING."
Mubarak admitted to investigators that he shared the fake document and apologised for his actions. The contrition was not enough.
The DSS arraigned him before Chief Magistrate Court No. 10, Kabala Doki, Kaduna, which ordered his remand at the Nigerian Correctional Centre, Kaduna.
The agency has filed a three-count charge bordering on cybercrime and defamation against him at the Federal High Court, Kaduna. A date for his formal arraignment is yet to be fixed.
The DSS continues to show that it has the capacity to trace those engaged in circulating misleading information in cyberspace.
Today in Kano Central, the RISE UP Nigeria (RUN) Campaign, under the leadership of @Mo_Atiku , alongside @dawisu and other prominent members of the RISE UP NIGERIA movement, spearheaded a Youth Mobilization and Support Drive to galvanize grassroots participation and consolidate support for the African Democratic Congress (ADC) presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar and all down-ballot candidates.

SHETTIMA, HOW DID BOLA GRADUATE BEFORE GOVERNMENT COLLEGE LAGOS EXISTED?
“While Shettima debates school records, families are skipping meals, workers cannot afford the journey to work, and his government calls their suffering reform.”
At the 32nd Nigerian Economic Summit in Abuja today, Vice President Kashim Shettima had a chance to explain why Nigerians are struggling to afford fuel, transport and food. Instead, he mocked Atiku Abubakar for attending the Kano School of Hygiene. Faced with the cost of living crisis, this government’s Vice President attacked a man’s school.
What, exactly, is shameful about Atiku’s education? He completed secondary school, pursued further training and built a life through work. Millions of Nigerians have travelled the same road. Their parents sacrificed to get them into the schools they could afford; they studied, worked and rose. Shettima looked at that struggle and saw something to laugh at.
If Shettima wants to examine school records, he should begin with the man he serves. A document in Bola Tinubu’s Chicago State University records lists him as having graduated from Government College Lagos in 1970, four years before the school was established in 1974. Shettima should explain how a man graduates from a school before it exists, instead of mocking Atiku for attending a school whose doors were open.
Then there is the question of names. The NYSC certificate Tinubu submitted to INEC bears the name “Tinubu Bola Adekunle.” Atiku has challenged that discrepancy in court. Shettima cannot ridicule Atiku’s documented schooling while refusing to address questions about the name on his principal’s certificate.
Tinubu’s Chicago State University documents are also still the subject of litigation in the United States. The questions raised about documents submitted for his election must be answered on their own terms. Insulting Atiku’s school will not make them disappear.
Nor can Shettima pretend that the documented 1993 forfeiture in Chicago, arising from a narcotics investigation, has never raised questions. A separate U.S. case concerning the release of records from that historical investigation remains a matter of public interest.
Shettima says Atiku wants Nigerians to “backslide into penury.” Back from where? The World Bank estimates that nearly seven in ten Nigerians will live below its lower middle income poverty line in 2026, while 35 million people face acute food insecurity. Poverty is not a future threat to these families. It is the life they are struggling through today.
A parent choosing between transport to work and food for the children does not need Shettima to explain penury. His remark shows how far this government has drifted from the people it serves.
Atiku has proposed a targeted, capped and independently audited subsidy tied to petrol refined in Nigeria. If Shettima thinks it cannot be funded, he should show his figures and offer a better way to lower prices. Insulting Atiku will not fill a cooking pot, pay a bus fare or put fuel in a tank.
Atiku has nothing to be ashamed of. He walked through the doors of the Kano School of Hygiene, studied, worked and rose. The shame belongs to Shettima, who stood before a nation weighed down by hunger and chose to laugh at honest education.
After three and a half years in the saddle, Nigerians have seen the bitter consequences of allowing a man with a forged education to become President. Tinubu is an error the Nigerian electorate made in 2023, and on January 16, 2027, the whole country will be impatient to correct that error.
Shettima and Bola may be too far removed from ordinary homes to hear the anger building inside them. Those homes will have a voice at the ballot box. Nigerians will answer the Vice President’s mockery and his boss’s record with their votes. Shettima and Bola will be beaten by the very people they have stopped listening to.

PRESS STATEMENT
APC'S IRRESPONSIBLE FALSEHOOD CANNOT HIDE TINUBU'S FAILURES, ADC REPLIES ALAKE
The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has described the latest statement by the APC Presidential Campaign Council, alleging unpaid salaries within our party, as an irresponsible falsehood and another laughable piece of cheap propaganda from a government that has failed Nigerians on every important measure of governance.
We find it rather amusing that a government that has presided over one of the most painful periods of economic hardship in our country's recent history now considers itself qualified to lecture anyone about the welfare of workers.
But perhaps we should not be surprised. When a government has no achievements to defend, it must manufacture allegations to discuss.
"The ADC categorically rejects this allegation as an irresponsible falsehood, deliberately concocted to mislead Nigerians and distract attention from the monumental failures of the Tinubu administration. If the APC has any credible evidence to support its claims, it should produce it rather than continue to insult Nigerians with fabricated stories masquerading as press statements."
We understand the APC's desperation to change the conversation. But Nigerians are not fools.
The real issue is not the imaginary crisis that the APC is desperately trying to manufacture within the ADC. The real issue is the crisis that President Bola Tinubu and his government have created in the homes of millions of Nigerians.
The real issue is the cost of living. The real issue is the absence of jobs and opportunities for our young people. The real issue is the insecurity that continues to threaten lives, livelihoods, and communities across the country.
These are the issues on which this government must be judged, and no amount of propaganda can redeem it.
"It is becoming increasingly clear that the APC has decided to run its 2027 campaign on allegations against the opposition rather than achievements of its own. That is what happens when a government has spent years making promises it cannot keep and excuses it cannot defend."
We therefore advise Mr Alake and his colleagues to spend less time inventing stories about the ADC and more time explaining why Nigerians should reward their party with another term after the hardship, insecurity and economic uncertainty of the last three years.
The APC may control the machinery of government, but it cannot control the lived experiences of Nigerians. And no amount of propaganda targeted at the opposition can erase the monumental record of the ruling APC.
This election is about one issue only: the cost of living that the Tinubu administration has pushed beyond the reach of the majority of Nigerians. The ADC will stay focused on this issue. We will not be distracted. We will continue to hold this government accountable on the issues that matter to Nigerians.
"If the APC has a record to defend, let it defend it. If it has solutions, let it present them. But it should stop insulting the intelligence of Nigerians with these increasingly desperate distractions."

You know we are dealing with the association of certificate forgers lead by Tinubu, who till now has not tell Nigerians and the world the primary and secondary school he bola Tinubu attended!!
Igbo people will be the greatest losers of it. Pragmatism requires wisdom, not foolish ego.. after 2027, obi political ambition die forever, he will not amount to be anything near vice president of the federal republic of Nigeria..
Regardless of the outcome of the 2027 presidential election, I will always be proud of Peter Obi for refusing to bow to pressure to become Atiku’s running mate. That resolve alone has earned my lasting respect. He will forever be my GOAT.
Dear Senator @iamHSDickson and @TheoAbuAgada, are you aware of this account as NDC leaders?

YOU ARE DELUSIONAL — ATIKU REPLIES TINUBU
Former Vice President and ADC presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar has described President Bola Tinubu’s claim that the opposition created hunger and poverty as a delusional, shameless attempt to dodge responsibility for the misery his own government has inflicted on Nigerians.
Atiku said a President cannot light the fire of hardship with his own policies, then blame the neighbours for the smoke.
In a statement issued by Phrank Shaibu, Director of Strategic Communication of the ADC Presidential Campaign Council, Atiku said:
“Mr President, blaming the opposition for hunger is either delusion or a staggering case of political amnesia. The APC governed Nigeria for eight years before you took office. You have added another three and a half years. Nigerians know who has been in power, and hardship did not begin when the opposition started talking about it. Stop insulting their intelligence and answer for your record.
“The hardship your administration has brought upon Nigerians is real. You cannot deny it by blaming others.
“Your decision to commission the unfinished Abuja to Kaduna Expressway from inside a stadium shows how far removed you are from the daily reality of Nigerians. A road cannot be completed with a speech or a ribbon cutting ceremony.
“Which administration removed the petrol subsidy and watched the naira fall from about ₦471 to ₦1,329 to the dollar?
“Which administration has presided over a rise in poverty that led the World Bank to estimate that 63 per cent of Nigerians will be below the national poverty line in 2026? Which administration extended the 2024 budget into 2025 while also operating a separate 2025 budget?
“Which administration recorded ₦7.13 trillion under ‘energy security’ in 2024 and faces questions over ₦11.2 trillion in NNPC pipeline related spending? Nigerians deserve to know who received these sums and what was delivered.
“Which administration must explain the $12.4 billion gap flagged in Nigeria’s external accounts for the first half of 2026? Which administration paid $22.5 million in ‘other charges’ on the Abu Dhabi financing facility?
“Which administration is responsible for the killings, kidnappings and displacement that continue to terrorise communities? These are the questions Nigerians are asking while your government blames the opposition.
“You cannot govern for three years, make life harder, and then blame others for describing the hardship. You asked who created the hunger. Nigerians are asking what you have done to end it.
“The people will judge your government by the lives they are living, not by the excuses you offer at campaign rallies.
“The 2027 presidential election will be a referendum on your record. Nigerians have felt the cost of your leadership in their homes, markets and communities. Their verdict is already clear: they have rejected your administration.”
