@lostTobobbyflay@tombogert I agree that Musah deserves a mention. His play will need to improve, but he performed well in the World Cup at age 19 and I’d be surprised if he isn’t at least in the mix for a spot in 2030.
@tha_Real_Kumar That’s totally fair. I’m just having visions of Arda Guler exploiting the space behind our midfield line because Gio (whom I really like) didn’t track back. Won’t have that problem with Brendo.
The good news is that WHO CARES, WE’RE THROUGH, BABY
@DragonflyJonez@Ankaman616 My adult league functions without offsides and I don’t think it’s much of an issue. Teams definitely take advantage of it to cherry pick, but honestly it just leads to better spacing for the team with the ball. Marco van Basten has called for the rule to be eliminated altogether.
@TaylorTwellman@BWPNINENINE Depending on how his recovery is going, I wouldn’t mind seeing him for the last ten minutes or so just to knock some of the rust off before the knockouts. But we shouldn’t start him.
@turnertheburna@AndyStaples Using Sorsby as an example, I’m sure the UFL or NFL would love to pay him. He has declined to enter the draft yet because he can make more playing in college right now.
@turnertheburna@AndyStaples No doubt that there are a lot of factors that play into profitability than pure ability, not arguing that.
Theyre valiable because the schools (and their boosters most of all) say they’re valuable. Nobody is making them pay Sorsby millions, but he can help TTU win so they do.
@AndyStaples@turnertheburna They players do have value to the schools. That’s why Texas Tech not only is allowing him to play but launched a huge campaign to reclaim his eligibility. They’d be a worse team without him.
