The Microsoft Licensing FAQs finally clarify a long-standing point of frustration for Entra ID. I have broken this down here https://t.co/smodwJLoQQ
The "One Person, One License" philosophy for Microsoft Entra was only ever shared through blog posts and social media, meaning people often doubted whether it breached the current licensing terms or not. Now, the Microsoft Licensing FAQs clarify these points.

I agree with you hundred percent terms of the SaaS products and the availability after launch etc.
For example we have just got education pricing for M365 Copilot, itโs took a while but we got it.
In terms of Intune it took a while to get Autopatch, OK we got it in the end but there isnโt clear communication in terms of what Microsoft was doing regarding the availability for EDU it just got made available one day.
Personally all I want is transparency when it comes to releases and licensing.
@acjuelich@bdam555@tybyrnabeaux@BelaLior Yeh itโs not called out explicitly, it would be nice if messaging would be clearer for all non Enterprise licenses (G/A/F). The announcement imho doesnโt make it clear if features like QMR, Cloud rebuild and point in time restore are also available to education as well.
