I mean this respectfully to newer OpTic fans:
Some of y’all are a little spoiled with success and haven’t been around for the dichotomy of dominance and heartbreaks from BO2 to IW Champs and the gap between 2017-2024. There were some dark and awkward times there as a fan so seeing people event remotely call for a roster change for this team is legitimately insane to me. Some of yall don’t know how good we have it right now.
PlayStation is in overdrive this morning posting multiple tweets within an hour, thinking ignoring their fanbase that helped them built their brand is going to fix things.
We will not be silent about the physical media bullshit.
Cuarto día consecutivo con Sony bajando sin pausa en bolsa.
Acumulando escándalos, montones de demandas, el descontento global crece cada día de silencio y siguen bajando sin remedio.
El tiempo corre en su contra, TIC TAC. ⌛️
SAVE THE DISC 📀 SAVE VIDEOGAMES
To make it 200 % clear: What Sony does will affect everyone. Not just physical fans. Not just gamers. It sets a precedent for the future that every company can get away with exploiting customers due to the lack of legal protection. Make EVERYONE sign this: https://t.co/ZJGO46mfuU
Mainstream media is covering Sony’s predatory push for a digital monopoly🚀
If music still gets released in CD, vinyl and cassette, movies still get released on blu-ray, books still printed on paper, why should games be all digital?
Sony is fabricating a false narrative that no one buys physical games when the Insomniac leak has shown to be false.
Do not fall for this
Do not allow them to discourage and demoralize you into think you have no power
Just few years ago they were bending over backwards over the stupidest things few bloggers cried about regarding gaming
They should listen this time, if you press hard enough
NO DISC 💿 NO BUY
Sony announced them killing off physical games with a tweet and a blog post like it was some regular Wednesday, expecting people will be mad for a bit and move on.
And now the backlash has gotten so big it’s being covered by mainstream news outlets.
DON’T LET UP, DON’T SHUT UP.
Sony stock keeps sliding 📉🚀
Gamers, keep the pressure on.
Look out for YOUR best interests.
No blind loyalty. No console tribalism.
If physical games matter to you, make your voice heard.
NO DISC 💿 NO BUY ✊

The backlash against PlayStation for killing physical games has been relentless, with everything they try to post getting spammed by Community Notes from furious customers.

Movies still come on Blu-ray, music is still pressed on vinyl and books still fill store shelves. But as Sony moves to phase out physical PlayStation releases, many gamers are asking why video games should be the first major entertainment medium to go all digital. https://t.co/FagoUG3JVU
Sony’s stock after their attempt to end physical game media, and their refusal to address the massive pushback situation 10 days later🚀
This is why they wanted you to listen to their sock-puppet media and analysts, meanwhile their own CEO sold his stocks to cash out🤣
NO DISC 💿 NO BUY
Keep up the pressure!
Listen up, this is important.
We lost the fight against microtransactions.
We lost the fight against day one patches.
We lost so much of what games used to be.
But we CANNOT lose this fight.
Drop PlayStation IMMEDIATELY. Don’t support this terrible decision.
Scorched Earth.
This is so well said. 😂
Maybe Sony doesn't realize that:
1. Most of us have a backlog bigger than our life expectancy
2. The jump from PS5 to PS6 is going to feel a lot smaller than previous generations (law of diminishing returns at this point)
3. If they want us to stay engaged, maybe... I don't know... give us games? Good games that don't take 7+ years to make. And maybe bring back some of the creativity and variety that made the PS1–PS3 eras so special.
Sony needs us more than we need them.
They created so much value over the last 30 years that plenty of us have enough incredible games to play for decades. If the future is "$1,000+ digital-only console, fewer games, longer waits, and less ownership," that's not exactly a compelling value proposition.
GG, Sony. Thanks for the memories. 🤣
