@LNER Do I have to make a seat reservation. I wanted to get the 0921 but is unavailable. I’m not too bothered about a seat but I was told at the station I can turn up and get on any train
@LNER just confirming, my train from Newark to King’s Cross was cancelled last night after a 3 hour wait. Am I okay to get a train with the same ticket this morning
@LNER@Cameron_Hutter Thanks for your help, will you be providing compensation? I had a connecting train with a different company which I obviously can’t get
@TheSnowDreamer It dropped another 1/2 inches on already frozen ground. UK airports aren’t equipped to deal with that, I personally wouldn’t want to fly with a runway like that
🚨LANDFALL: The meteorologically unthinkable has happened today in the Philippines. For the 4TH time in only 10 DAYS, the nation has been hit directly by a Typhoon—and this was the strongest of them all. Category 5 Super Typhoon #ManYi (#PepitoPH) has just made a devastating landfall over the island of Catanduanes, with violent sustained winds of ~160 mph (260 kph) and a core pressure likely in the mid/upper 920s mbar, becoming the first Category 5 Typhoon to strike the Philippines since Super Typhoon Goni (Rolly) tore through this very same region in 2020. Potentially catastrophic destruction may be ongoing on the island right now. This is a truly terrifying sight.
