In the name of marketing, I'm going to be blogging a bit about getting paid internationally on Fieldfare. The big takeaway: Fire your clients who want to use PayPal. @Wise is much much better. https://t.co/F2pDwsLS9X #buildinginpublic
Anyway, read the article for a deeper breakdown. Or better yet, check out Fieldfare and see how multi-invoicing for freelancers should be. https://t.co/4oPfaGRwtK
On a $1000 invoice at today's exchange rates, I'd receive €784.39 from PayPal or €850.34 from @Wise. That's a €66 difference and a total gut punch.
In the past, I've told clients I'd pay any wire or transfer fees if they swapped payment method. They've all said yes.
There's also a public completely free invoice generator that supports every major currency.
This isn't so much a launch as a #buildinpublic pre-launch kind of thing. If you give it a try, please let me know what you think.

I've been writing for US companies while living in Europe and Asia for almost 15 years. The whole time, invoicing and accounting has sucked. I get paid in $ but live (mostly) in €.
So, inspired by @craigmod, I built my own personal finance app. https://t.co/z4KUned3up
That's how I came to build Fieldfare. It's live now and free for 10 invoices per month and three clients. Pro plans remove the limits and are priced locally. $5 · €5 · £4 · ₹399 · R$19.90 · ₱249 — it's not just for Americans and Europeans. https://t.co/4oPfaGRwtK
@Steve_Yegge Hi Steve, I read your article on cheating is all you need and would love to interview you for @TheLeadDev on how AI requires a new engineering management approach. Can I email you more info?
