@scottiebateman It’s risky. The pilots were betting it was ‘dry’ snow. Dry snow will blow off the wings like that. Wet snow will stick and 100% cause a crash. The gamble they took with the passenger lives was stupid because there is no reliable way to determine if the snow is dry enough.
