Iran President: New Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei Emphasized UNITY During Meeting

President @drpezeshkian confirms a “seven-hour meeting” with the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyyed Mojtaba Khamenei.

He said that “preserving unity and cohesion” was the most important message from the Leader during the meeting.

Pezeshkian made the remarks on the sidelines of a meeting with the secretaries-general of political parties and political figures. Referring to the meeting, he said: “He was in complete physical health and good condition.”

The Iranian president added that, alongside raising concerns about people’s “livelihoods, employment, and housing,” he also discussed problems arising from sanctions with the Leader of the Islamic Revolution.

Iran's Supreme Leader Issues Decrees Naming Six Senior Military Commanders

Iran's Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei signed off on a major reshuffle of the country's top military leadership. The new appointments:

1. Major General Ali Abdollahi: Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces
2. Brigadier General Kiomars Heydari Baqleh: Deputy Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces
3. Brigadier General Ahmad Vahidi: Commander-in-Chief of the IRGC
4. Brigadier General Mostafa Izadi: Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the IRGC
5. Rear Admiral Ali Ozmayi: Commander of the IRGC Navy
6. Hojjat al-Islam Hossein Taeb: Head of the Mostazafan (Basij) Organization
